Car collided with motorcycle: biker (63) injured

A 63-year-old motorcyclist was injured in the Tyrolean Ötztal on Friday afternoon. A car turning onto the village road collided with his bike. The local man was taken to hospital.

At around 2.25 p.m., a 49-year-old Austrian was trying to turn from the company premises onto Dorfstraße in Sautens in a company car when the accident occurred: The car collided with the 63-year-old Austrian's motorcycle, who then crashed. 

The motorcyclist sustained injuries to both hands, his left shoulder and his back. 

First aid from a doctor
The local doctor treated the injured man at the scene. He was then taken to hospital in Zams by the ambulance service. Both his motorcycle and the 49-year-old's car sustained considerable material damage.
