Scam worth millions: Vienna police hunt for this man
The Vienna police are currently searching intensively for a 43-year-old man. The man is suspected of having caused a total loss of more than three million euros through fraudulent activities.
Together with a 35-year-old Bulgarian, the 43-year-old stateless man is alleged to have purchased numerous vehicles and also a whirlpool with leasing contracts under the name of his company and under false pretenses since December 2022. As managing director, the 43-year-old is said to have been in charge of these frauds.
Vehicles scattered around the globe
In the course of extensive investigations, three vehicles in Moscow, in Rosenheim in Bavaria and in Vienna as well as a Whirlpool in Lower Austria have been seized so far. At least two other vehicles are currently believed to be in Iran. Investigations into the remaining vehicles have so far been unsuccessful. Most of them are suspected to be abroad and are wanted.
The crimes caused a total loss of more than three million euros. A European arrest warrant has been issued for the 43-year-old.
As the whereabouts of the wanted man are unknown, the Vienna police are now asking for help from the public.
