"I don't know"
Worried about Rafa Nadal: Will he miss the French Open?
Tennis superstar Rafael Nadal has doubts as to whether he will be able to compete at the French Open in Paris in just over a month's time!
The injury-plagued Spaniard is playing in the Masters 1000 tournament in Madrid this week, but he doesn't feel fit. The 37-year-old stated in a press conference that he was far from his top form and that it was a personal sacrifice to play the US American Darwin Blanch in Round 1 in the capital of his home country.
"It means a lot to me!"
"If I was in Paris today, I wouldn't be playing there," said Nadal. But it was important to him to play one last time in Madrid. "It means a lot to me to play on this court. I've had some great moments here."
But that doesn't mean he's giving up anything. "But without wanting to confuse anyone, I don't know what will happen in the next three weeks. If I feel competitive, I will play in Paris."
