Novak Djokovic cancels start at Madrid Open

Novak Djokovic has canceled his start at the ATP 1000 tennis tournament in Madrid this week. The Serb last took to the court in Monte Carlo at the beginning of the month and has only played four tournaments so far this year, none of which he has won. 

The 36-year-old world number one reportedly wants to return at the tournament in Rome at the beginning of May to prepare for the French Open.
