Keys taken away
Tractor driver keeps police on their toes
A farmer in Kufstein in Tyrol has often attracted negative attention for parking illegally and various other traffic violations. Now the police have put a (curious) stop to the hustle and bustle for the time being.
A huge tractor with a German license plate is blocking a petrol pump at a BP filling station in the town of Kufstein, causing astonishment among passers-by and drivers alike. Because the driver is nowhere to be seen. "It's been there since Tuesday," explains an employee with a grin.
Parked criss-cross
However, the owner is apparently no stranger to the police in the fortress city. "The gentleman has often attracted attention due to various traffic violations," explains Peter Franz, commander of the Kufstein police station. According to this, the tractor is said to be frequently parked all over the place.
Onward journey prohibited after refueling
Officers were forced to take more drastic measures and took the tractor driver's keys directly at the petrol station. "He was a bit aggressive during a check. That's why he was banned from continuing his journey," Franz reveals. However, the man does not appear to be in any hurry to collect his tractor.
