A teenager in Vienna's Hütteldorf district hears his mother screaming in fear as she waits for the streetcar. A drunk man was harassing the woman. The son rushes over and pushes the alleged attacker away. Because he falls so badly that he suffers serious injuries to his face, the boy ends up in court.
A mother and her daughter were harassed by a drunk man at the terminus of streetcar line 49 in Vienna-Hütteldorf in November. "Leave us alone," the woman shouted when the man suddenly came very close to her and made biting motions.

Her son, sitting on a bench off to the side, hears the fear-filled scream. The 17-year-old runs over and pushes the suspected attacker away. He falls so awkwardly that he breaks his jaw and nose.

The son and a peer who was also involved now had to answer for negligent grievous bodily harm in the Vienna Landl: "I was afraid for my mother, I've never heard her scream like that before", he justifies himself - "I'm glad he intervened, I was so scared.
