Woman hit by streetcar: Standstill in Linz

Standstill on the streetcar tracks! Rail replacement services had to be set up in Linz early on Friday afternoon because a Linz AG Linien tram was involved in an accident with a passer-by. The woman was injured to an indeterminate degree. 

Around five streetcars were jammed in the Bürgerstraße/Landstraße area in the center of Linz shortly before 2 pm. The reason: according to initial information, a streetcar set and a pedestrian had collided and the woman was only slightly injured.

Little delay
However, public transport passengers did not have to wait long - a rail replacement service was quickly set up. Normal service was resumed after just 20 minutes and all Linz public transport services are now running to schedule again.
