Series of bloodsheds in Favoriten: Search for knifeman

The series of bloodbaths in Favoriten is not slowing down: on Thursday evening alone, there were two further incidents in the Reumannplatz area in which two men were injured. A 28-year-old suffered serious cuts and stab wounds after a knife attack. However, the perpetrator was able to flee - now the police are looking for him!

It was around 5.15 p.m. when an argument broke out between the 28-year-old and the unknown man. The perpetrator then allegedly ran up to the victim from behind in the area of a restaurant and attacked him with a knife. He inflicted several cuts and stab wounds to the man's hand, forearm and leg.

The stranger then immediately fled, a search for him has so far been unsuccessful. In the meantime, the 28-year-old was given emergency medical treatment by paramedics from the Vienna Professional Rescue Service and taken to hospital. There is no danger to life. The investigation is in full swing, which is why the police are asking the public for help: the stabber is said to have had a reddish beard and was around 1.80 meters tall. He was also dressed in dark clothing at the time of the crime. 

Two bloody deeds in just 15 minutes
Frighteningly, 15 minutes later there was another incident involving a knife - in the area of the Reumannplatz subway station. The police were able to stop a man there with injuries to his face after a scuffle. He also had a knife with him. He claimed to have been attacked by several people. He only had the knife with him for self-defense. The officers were unable to find any more injured people. 

Soldier (21) honored after incident in Favoriten
Just a few days ago, there were two more attacks on Reumannplatz within a short space of time. A 21-year-old wanted to rush to help when several women were being harassed by a group of youths. He was also attacked with a knife. The helper was a conscript and was honored by Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner. 

There was another knife attack last Monday: the attacker was a Syrian who was only 18 years old. He was caught.
