Truck driver overlooked 83-year-old pedestrian
The accident happened on a crosswalk, of all places, on Kremsmünsterer Straße in Linz: a truck stopped directly in front of the crosswalk, but then probably overlooked an 83-year-old pedestrian as it approached. The woman was knocked over and seriously injured.
On Wednesday evening, the 83-year-old woman from Linz wanted to cross the pedestrian crossing on Kremsmünsterer Straße to get to the streetcar stop. A truck driver (59) from Traun had stopped his vehicle directly in front of the crosswalk.
However, according to the police, the truck driver may have overlooked the pedestrian when he drove off.
With emergency doctor to the UKH
The 83-year-old was knocked over in the accident and hit her head on the road. An emergency doctor treated her serious injuries and the senior citizen was then taken to the accident hospital in Linz.
