"I have a very fulfilling life with people I love," she explained. "I'm raising daughters. I'm a wife, I'm a best friend. I'm a sister, I'm an aunt. I have deeply intimate relationships with people." And that is the meaning of life for the 57-year-old. According to Kidman, it is also important "to pay attention to what we leave behind, who we leave behind and how we do it, and our sense of respect for that."

"I go home and back to myself"
 The actress is also particularly grateful for her job. "I'm lucky to have a job where I get to explore emotional landscapes that are difficult, strange, extraordinary, bizarre, beautiful and deep," she said.

However, there are some aspects of her job that Kidman would rather escape, adding that after a glamorous red carpet or fashion party, she always looks forward to going home.

She explained: "It feels a bit surreal sometimes. I want to get out, take off my dress and put on my pyjamas. It's kind of the opposite of Cinderella - I like to go home and just go back to myself."
