Drunk man throws punch and sets off fire alarm
Someone has clearly had too much to drink: In his vacation accommodation in Obergurgl in Tyrol (Imst district), a very drunk German man (56) punched a British man in the face on Tuesday night and then - presumably unintentionally - set off the fire alarm. The man will be charged.
It was around 11pm on Monday when the 56-year-old came staggering back to his vacation accommodation in Obergurgl, heavily intoxicated. He became extremely aggressive towards a 60-year-old British man and threw a punch. The 60-year-old was seriously injured.
Alarm canceled in time
"The 56-year-old then smashed the safety glass of the fire alarm with his fist, which triggered the fire alarm", according to the police. However, the alarm was canceled in time. "The damage caused cannot be quantified at present," said the police. Once the investigation has been completed, a report will be made to the public prosecutor's office in Innsbruck.
