Prima la musica: Little stars of the stage won the competition
Musical excellence was on display this week at the CMA Ossiach: 290 talents demonstrated their skills on three stages. Everyone who took part in the 16 categories took home a personal victory. And there was a record: 88 musicians, who are among the country's elite, will continue to fight for a place on the podium at the national competition in South Tyrol from mid-May.
Let's hear it, you were great - all 290 boys and girls who took part in this year's prima la musica competition organized by Musik der Jugend. For many years, the regional music competition has also been accompanied by the "Kärntner Krone". The final spurt was on Friday, where we were also present at the CMA-Ossiach.
Music is the most beautiful language in the world
"Music is the most beautiful language in the world, for me it means everything," says violinist Letizia Lamb. The Spittal native attends the talent factory of the Johannes Brahms Conservatory in Klagenfurt. She has a soft spot for the jazz violin: "Classical music is great, it carries emotions. With jazz, I improvise and feel freer."

Whirlwind
Anastazja Piotrowicz comes running out of the Alban Berg Concert Hall like a little whirlwind: "Hurray, we made it." The percussion trio called Power Percussion had really heated things up: "It's really cool that we're going to the national competition," say Aaron and Lukas. All the musicians have also mastered the basics of music, such as staccato, pianissimo and legato. None of them are unfamiliar with Mozart or Beethoven. "I can't do without music, I decided to study," says guitarist Samuele Ogris.
Marathon program
The 16-year-old is one of the talents who competed in the Plus group. "This is the highest age group, which already has to complete a marathon programme at the competition," says prima la musica organizer Lisa Leitich. 15 talented musicians were awarded gold and one silver.
