Car collides with coach in Saalfelden

A car and a coach belonging to a tour group from Cologne collided on Friday evening on Pinzgauer Straße in Saalfelden-Harham. Only two people were slightly injured.

The car of a local driver (84) collided with the bus, which was traveling from Saalbach in the direction of Cologne, on the Pinzgauer Straße (B311) at around 7 pm on Friday. On board: around 50 young people who had just finished their skiing vacation.

Only two people were slightly injured in the accident, the 84-year-old driver of the vehicle and a young bus passenger.

The damaged coach was taken to the fire station in Saalfelden with a police escort. There, the bus passengers were treated by the volunteer fire department and the Red Cross crisis intervention team.

A replacement bus was quickly organized for the young people between the ages of 12 and 16.

The B311 was completely closed for around 40 minutes during the recovery operation.
