FPÖ Vienna on the attack
Nepp: “Ludwig imports brutal violence”
Vienna's FPÖ leader Dominik Nepp is in attack mode in an interview on krone.tv: "Mayor Ludwig's welcoming culture has left a trail of red blood in Vienna. Because he invites everyone to come to Vienna, pays out the minimum income from day one and it's also higher here than in other federal states."
Nepp says in the interview that he would bring about a drastic change in this regard within 48 hours of becoming Vienna's mayor and link Vienna's social benefits to Austrian citizenship. Nepp: "This link to Austrian citizenship also affects the future allocation of municipal housing."
Nepp would also break with what he describes as Ludwig's "burden policy" in terms of municipal rents, fees and charges. This would save every Viennese household 3500 euros per year.
"The city of Vienna needs a turnaround"
Nepp is also harsh in his assessment of the political responsibility for the five murders of women in Vienna last Friday: "Ludwig is importing brutal violence with his welcoming culture. The city of Vienna needs a reverse thrust." In his view, there are several no-go areas in Vienna where there are frequent riots, a state of emergency prevails and stabbings are on the increase. Specifically, he is referring to Praterstern and Reumannplatz in Favoriten.
The reason why the ÖVP and SPÖ are doing so badly in the national polls is that Karl Nehammer and Andreas Babler are disaster candidates who don't have their ear to the ground. Unlike him, Nepp, in Vienna, or FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl throughout Austria.
