DJ's death in Thailand
Murder victim’s sister hugged the perpetrator’s wife
After the murder of Linz DJ Max H. (42) on the Thai vacation island of Koh Phangan, touching scenes took place at the court hearing today. The alleged perpetrator, a Moroccan (37), had to answer for the first time. A sister of the slain Linzer showed greatness and hugged the wife of the accused.
"The proceedings were conducted very professionally and Martina told me that everyone's empathy was on my brother's side," reported Max's brother Martin and younger sister Melissa. H., who is in Linz himself, but is in constant contact with his sister Martina and Evy, the girlfriend of his slain brother, in Thailand: "Both of them and my brother's friends are firmly convinced that justice will be done in Thailand by the judge on Koh Samui. My sister also hugged the perpetrator's wife, who of course still can't believe the whole thing."
What happens next?
Brother Martin H. to the "Krone": "Now that all the witnesses have been heard in court, we are waiting to see what the public prosecutor and the perpetrator's lawyer plead. That could take weeks or a few months."
Beaten to death with an iron bar
After a party, the 37-year-old Moroccan is said to have killed the Upper Austrian with an iron bar. Max H.'s body - which had severe wounds to the head and face - was found next to the road on Thursday. After the local police had interviewed numerous witnesses, it became clear that the Moroccan was the last person to see the Upper Austrian DJ alive. He was finally arrested by the police on Friday.
