Man remained uninjured
Driver (52) drove into concrete block with a blood alcohol level of 1.9
A 52-year-old man was uninjured when he drove his e-car into a concrete block in Puch (Salzburg) - the car got off less lightly. The driver was heavily intoxicated: the measuring device showed 1.94 per mille.
At around 5 a.m. on Saturday, the e-call of an electric car alerted a police patrol in Puch. The driver of the car, a 52-year-old from Pinzgau, had crashed into a concrete block at the side of the road.
Tire completely destroyed
He remained uninjured, the car was completely destroyed at the front right and the tire was even bent 90 degrees.
Driver's license gone
When the police arrived, the driver was still in the vehicle. The officers carried out a breathalyzer test. The result: the man was heavily intoxicated. Because of the 1.94 per mille, the man from Pinzgau had to surrender his driver's license.
The Puch volunteer fire department was on site with 19 men, secured the scene of the accident and cleared the road of spilled fluids.
