Brawler injured two police officers during a scuffle

The sight of the officers infuriated a 33-year-old in Traiskirchen in the district of Baden to such an extent that he let his fists do the talking. He could only be arrested after putting up great resistance.

A brawl recently called the police to the scene in Traiskirchen in the district of Baden: an alarm about a stolen cell phone led the officers on the main square directly into a violent confrontation.

But the sight of the uniformed officers did nothing to calm the brawlers. On the contrary: the attempt to separate the two violent opponents even ended in handcuffs for one of them - a 33-year-old Austrian.

He had previously redirected his concentrated aggression towards one of the police officers. He attacked the officer in the face and neck area and also punched him in the upper body area. The attacker was finally arrested - still resisting violently. The man is currently in custody in Wiener Neustadt prison.

E-bike thief arrested
In contrast, the arrest of an e-bike thief, who had even been searched for by police helicopter, went off without resistance. The Slovakian had previously been observed loading a 9,000 euro bicycle with two accomplices in Achau in the district of Mödling. But the trio noticed their observer and got cold feet.

Bicycle thieves fled
The perpetrators split up and the stolen goods were quickly disposed of on the run. However, because the witness had memorized fragments of the license plate number, the wanted vehicle was soon stopped in Rauchenwarth in the district of Bruck an der Leitha. The 20-year-old is now in custody and the search for the accomplices is ongoing.
