Heavily intoxicated driver ends up in a ditch

An East Tyrolean woman caused a car accident in Mörtschach (Carinthia), was injured, her car was totaled and the 37-year-old woman was reported to the police. The woman was heavily intoxicated.

A 37-year-old woman from East Tyrol was driving her car on the B107 Großglockner Straße in Mörtschach towards Winklern at 5.55 p.m. on Thursday. In a left-hand bend, she touched the right-hand guard rail and then drove into the left-hand ditch.

The driver suffered injuries and was taken to Lienz Hospital by the ambulance.

A breathalyzer test revealed that she was heavily intoxicated. The 37-year-old's driver's license was confiscated. She will be reported to the Spittal district authority.
