Climate agitator
Critics take sharp aim at the “Spatzenpost”
"Piggeries" in a school magazine continue to cause outrage: in addition to numerous parents, the aviation industry has also expressed its anger.
The pig parents drove their children to school in monster trucks, some even directly to the classroom. They also took an airplane for short distances because it was the cheapest means of transport" - that's all the "Spatzenpost" needed to incur the anger of numerous parents. As reported, the school magazine (which has practically been compulsory reading for 2nd grade since the 1970s) recently printed an excerpt from the children's book "Die Klimaschweine" (The Climate Pigs), causing outrage up and down the country. Not only among parents, but also in the aviation industry, among others.
For example, Tillmann Fuchs, media manager and currently Head of Communications at Vienna Airport, criticized the incitement of children against their parents in official teaching material.
Co-publisher regrets "when parents feel attacked"
The publishing house Jung Österreich did not wish to comment on the climate scandal, but SOS Children's Villages did. The renowned child protection organization has nothing directly to do with the "climate pigs" page, but is co-publisher of the "Spatzenpost": "We regret if parents have felt offended by the report. Because when it comes to climate protection, it is particularly important that we all stick together."
