Nottingham Snatches a Point from Tottenham – City Wins

Nottingham Forest (coached by Oliver Glasner) snatched a point from Tottenham with a scoreless draw. Manchester City did what was expected and defeated newly promoted Coventry City 1-0 thanks to a golden goal by Erling Haaland.

Manchester City has maintained its top spot in the English Premier League for the time being with a narrow 1-0 victory over newly promoted Coventry City. A goal by Erling Haaland (26th minute) was enough for the home team, which dominated for most of the match, to secure its third win in three league games. However, the victory was still in jeopardy in the closing stages, as goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma had to make two saves. Austrian national team defender Kevin Danso made his debut for Sunderland in a 1-1 draw at Brentford.

Meanwhile, former Salzburg player Jannik Schuster made his debut for Brentford—and in the league—stepping into the center of the defense in the 17th minute to replace injured captain Nathan Collins. Brentford thus remains undefeated.

Nottingham Still Winless
Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, isstill winless. The new club led by coach Oliver Glasner and midfielder Xaver Schlager had to settle for a 0-0 draw at home against Tottenham. Despite their high transfer spending, the Spurs also remain winless.

On Sunday (5:30 p.m.), champions Arsenal and Chelsea—who have also remained undefeated so far—will have the chance to move back ahead of Man City in a head-to-head matchup.
