Tax money to revive “bankrupt flight”

Linz Airport has run into difficulties and the important connection to the Frankfurt hub has been discontinued due to a lack of capacity utilization and profitability. Now it is to be revived following the EU's "go" and kept alive at the taxpayers' expense. There is no need to wait long for resistance.

On Friday, the EU gave the green light for the resumption of the flight connection from Linz to Frankfurt. This had been discontinued by Austrian Airlines on October 25. The province of Upper Austria is already preparing the Europe-wide tender. However, not everyone is rejoicing at the EU's approval of the "Public Service Obligation".
