The German team has incurred the wrath of superstar Jarl Magnus Riiber because of a protest after the Nordic Combined World Championships competition on the normal hill on Saturday. "That's disgusting," the Norwegian grumbles about the DSV's behavior.

But first things first! Jarl Magnus Riiber won the final sprint of a five-man lead group on Saturday and won his tenth World Championship gold medal overall. Riiber's compatriot Jens Luras Oftebro (+0.8 sec.) took silver ahead of Germany's Vinzenz Geiger (+1.1).

Germany's Julian Schmid narrowly missed out in fourth place. After the competition, the German Ski Association (DSV) lodged a protest because Oftebro had allegedly crossed the course boundary with a ski. However, this was quickly rejected.

"Something like that is simply unsportsmanlike"
 Riiber is stunned by the protest from the Germans. "I feel really sick and I get a lot of adrenaline when I think about how you can behave so badly. It's disgusting," the Norwegian railed in an interview with the newspaper "Dagbladet". "Something like that is simply unsportsmanlike!"

Oftebro also had little understanding. "They just tried it to get another medal," said the silver medal winner. Postscript: "They're welcome to try, but we Norwegians wouldn't have done it like that."
