Letter in grid: who delivered it “incorrectly”?

Citizens in Wiener Neustadt have already complained about "unreliable mail delivery" in the past. Now a letter has even ended up in a metal grid.

The quality of mail delivery has been the subject of discussion in Wiener Neustadt. In Wiener Straße and Kurze Gasse, citizens criticized overflowing mailboxes and the fact that a delivery person sometimes allegedly delivers the mail for an entire house to a store. When asked, the postal headquarters in Vienna was unable to identify any problems, but also promised to "strictly monitor the quality of delivery".

Now a letter for a customer ended up in a metal grid instead of in the mailbox at exactly the same address - is this considered a correct delivery? It is clear that it is not possible to determine whether a neighbor simply "moved" a misdirected letter or whether a delivery person is responsible for this oddity.

What is certain, however, is that many more complaints about letter delivery in Wiener Neustadt were received after the "Krone" report.
