Oumar Solet will apparently not be joining German Bundesliga club Hoffenheim after all. The transfer of the Salzburg central defender is likely to have fallen through in the final talks. The 24-year-old left the Kraichgau again.

"Done deal" wrote Sky transfer expert Florian Plettenberg about the transfer of Salzburg central defender Oumar Solet to German Bundesliga club Hoffenheim. The Bulls should have paid a transfer fee of between 6.5 and 7 million euros for the Frenchman.

But that has now come to nothing. As reported by "kicker", the 24-year-old left without having achieved anything. Solet was in Kraichgau on Monday to complete the obligatory medical check and hold final talks. It is unclear why the transfer did not work out. When asked by "kicker", TSG let it be known that no final agreement was reached. Bild" writes that Solet failed the medical check. The reason is said to be a serious knee injury.

Solet played 106 competitive matches in Salzburg. He celebrated three league titles and one cup title. The defender, who was removed from the squad for several games in the spring due to indiscipline, had been given the go-ahead by the club to hold talks with other clubs. Most recently, there were also rumors of a transfer to Stuttgart.
