E-scooter driver had half a kilo of “weed” on him

A 28-year-old man was stopped in Vienna-Floridsdorf on Friday evening for driving an e-scooter on the sidewalk without a permit. However, the man got into more trouble because of a particular smell that the officers suddenly caught a whiff of.

The 28-year-old had a large quantity of marijuana in his rucksack. The Algerian citizen was also driving under the influence of narcotics.

During the search, the officers seized 551.7 grams of the drug. Numerous documents, such as confirmations for money transfers, were also found in the rucksack. The Vienna State Office of Criminal Investigation, Northern Branch, took over the further investigation.
