Woman’s life in danger after work accident

A serious accident at work occurred on Thursday in Stubenberg, Styria (Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district). The jacket of a 45-year-old woman got caught in a machine and the woman was critically injured.

The tragic accident occurred in Stubenberg at around 3.30 p.m. on Thursday. A 45-year-old woman and her husband were unloading fodder on the farm. The farmer was at the tractor, the engine of which was running to operate an attached loader wagon. Meanwhile, the wife was busy pushing the fodder to the end of the wagon with a rake.

Her jacket probably got caught in the running drive shaft of the loader wagon. The woman was subsequently pressed against the loader wagon, causing life-threatening injuries. She was flown to Graz Regional Hospital by the Christophorus 16 rescue helicopter.
