Bad news! Rapid loanee suffers cruciate ligament rupture

Bad news for Wolfsberger AC: Rapid loanee Bernhard Zimmermann suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in his right knee against Austria Lustenau (2:1).

The 22-year-old was substituted in the 64th minute on Tuesday, but had to come off in injury time. Now the shocking diagnosis: cruciate ligament rupture! Zimmermann's season is over prematurely.

Future open
Zimmermann's loan contract with the Carinthians expires at the end of June. He has scored three goals in 27 league games for the WAC this season. It remains to be seen what will happen after the summer. The serious injury is of course a major setback for the attacker.
