Seriously injured in quad bike accident in Zwettl

A 40-year-old driver had a serious accident with his quad bike on Saturday afternoon. He was flown to hospital by emergency helicopter.

A quad bike driver was seriously injured in an accident near Zwettl. According to the fire department, he was driving on the B36 at 2 p.m. when he left the road with his quad bike for unknown reasons, causing the vehicle to overturn and land in the ditch. According to initial information, he probably left the road through his own fault.

Spine, shoulder and arm injured
The 40-year-old sustained serious injuries to his spine, shoulder and arm. After first aid, he was flown to hospital by emergency helicopter. The B36 was temporarily closed to traffic during the operation.
