Collided with a pillar
Driver survived in completely destroyed accident wreck
Was it a guardian angel or just the safety equipment? A 42-year-old man from Bad Kreuzen in Upper Austria crashed his estate car into a bridge pillar at full speed on Friday evening. While the car was completely destroyed, the passenger compartment remained largely intact and the driver was taken to the accident hospital in Linz.
Shortly after 6 p.m. on Friday, the emergency services were alerted to a traffic accident on the B 3 in the Perger municipal area. Contrary to the alarm, it turned out at the scene that the driver was not trapped in his severely damaged vehicle, but was responsive and lying next to the station wagon on the driver's side.
Off the road
For reasons as yet unknown, the 42-year-old from Bad Kreuzen had left the road shortly after an exit and crashed with full force into a bridge pillar.
After first aid, the driver, who was injured to an indeterminate degree, was taken to the accident hospital in Linz accompanied by an emergency doctor.
