Rapid women: New date for home premiere fixed!
On Friday, the Rapid women's team will face the men's team in the Bundesliga Champions League. A new date has now been set for the test match against the women of FSG Traiskirchen. The demand is enormous: around 2,000 fans are expected for the home premiere!
The historic home match will now take place on Saturday, March 16, at 2:30 p.m. in the Allianz Stadium, as announced by the club.
Tickets that have already been booked remain valid. Admission is free, but should be reserved online in advance. Around 2,000 tickets have already been issued. The Allianz Stand and the catering kiosks will be open for the match.
"Two green-white soccer festivals"
Rapid Managing Director Steffen Hofmann: "The new date is much more attractive for families than the original one and I am delighted that we will now ideally be able to experience two green-white soccer festivals at the Allianz Stadium next weekend."
The evening before, the men's team will host LASK in the Bundesliga Champions League (7.30 pm).
Entry into the Vienna Women's National League
Of the three test matches so far, coach Katja Gürtler's women's team won 4:1 at SC Schönbrunn, lost 1:3 at SG Steyr and most recently on Sunday were beaten 2:0 by Austria Klagenfurt. The team is aiming to enter the third-highest division, the Vienna Women's Landesliga, in the fall.
