Investors are said to be knocking on Klagenfurt’s door again
Austria Klagenfurt is once again attracting interest from investors. This time, a European-Asian consortium is said to be interested in taking over the Austrian Bundesliga club.
Once again, the rumor mill is buzzing at Austria Klagenfurt. An English-Japanese group of investors is currently on the doorstep - and is very interested in the Carinthian Bundesliga club.
According to the report, this association wants to put 22 million euros on the table for a takeover of Austria Klagenfurt. However, the busy managing director Peer Jaekel refutes this: "It may be that interest has been verbally signaled here and there. But nothing is on the table in writing, and our SEH Group has no plans to sell any shares at the moment!" However, the fact that shareholder Zeljko Karajica and Co. are once again attracting the interest of potential investors can only be a positive sign.
Los Angeles FC had already wanted to buy the Carinthian club at the end of 2022 - but the Americans turned down a 20 million offer. Incidentally, purple-haired former managing director Harald Gärtner recently joined LAFC! The German is responsible there as head of Europe - among other things for the cooperation with Wacker Innsbruck.
On the sporting side: Andy Irving didn't get going at all in 2024! What's wrong with the otherwise strong director? Is he already thinking too much about his summer move to Premier League club West Ham? Because Andy recorded his last assist in October and his last goal in August. Jaekel emphasizes: "He's putting pressure on himself, we've spoken to him and said: 'We need the best Irving of all time for the hot phase!" And Pacult ponders: "I don't know what he has.
