Drunk 19-year-old drove his car into a barn
A 19-year-old from Grieskirchen (Upper Austria) drove into a barn without braking on Sunday evening. The reason: the young driver - who was under the influence of alcohol - overlooked an intersection. Also in the car with him were a 22-year-old and a 24-year-old, also from Grieskirchen.
The three young men from Grieskirchen were driving on Eisenbirnerstraße from Diersbach towards Kalling on Sunday evening. In Diersbach, carelessness caused the accident. According to the police, the 19-year-old driver overlooked the junction with Eferdinger Straße.
As a result, the car and its three occupants crashed into a barn without braking. The driver of the car was uninjured, his two passengers were slightly injured. However, they refused first aid from the ambulance.
1.08 per mille
The car itself was a total loss and the barn sustained serious material damage. The inattention of the 19-year-old driver could have been caused by a liquid: A breathalyzer test was positive, the Grieskirchen man had 1.08 per mille in his blood.
