Cash robbery series in Vienna: Who knows this man?

A previously unknown man is suspected of threatening supermarket employees on three days in August and then stealing cash in the five-figure range.

In the Vienna districts of Simmering, Meidling and Ottakring, a mysterious series of robberies against employees in the supermarkets located there took place in August.

The previously unknown suspect always followed the same pattern: According to Vienna police, he entered the grocery store, threatened the affected employees with a knife and demanded all the cash. He then fled the store in a hurry. 

Fortunately, no one was injured in the three robberies - the attacker left behind shocked employees and an as yet unknown identity. Based on the secured video recordings, it was possible to determine that the same man was involved in each of the robberies.

Supermarket robber still on the run
The police are urgently appealing for witnesses who may have further information on the identity of the suspect. So far it is known that the stranger is about 20 to 30 years old and about 1.70 to 1.80 meters tall. The supermarket robber also has black hair, a black cap and a slim build.
