Garbage truck grazes house fronts and demolishes roofs

A refuse truck left a trail of destruction in the municipality of Ferlach. It grazed several house fronts and even damaged roofs.

On Wednesday morning, the Ferlach volunteer fire department was alerted to an incident by the LAWZ. For unknown reasons, a truck driver drove onto the opposite carriageway and grazed two house fronts and damaged roofs.

"When the Ferlach volunteer fire department arrived, there was only the clean-up work to be done. The vehicle involved was a garbage truck that had crossed into the oncoming lane for unknown reasons," explains Ulbricht Ingemar, commander of the Ferlach fire brigade. "Fortunately, no one was injured." Investigations are ongoing.
