A 14-year-old teenager in Vienna's Landstraße was given a CO2 gun by his own mother. What did the boy intend to do with it? Around lunchtime, he is said to have fired the gun out of the window into Vienna's inner courtyard. The WEGA had to be alerted!

WEGA officers were immediately alerted and set off in search of the apartment in question.
Son wanted to carry out target practice
The officers quickly located a 55-year-old mother and her 14-year-old son. The woman is said to have bought the boy a CO2 weapon on the internet and given it to him as a gift. "The 14-year-old stated that he was carrying out target practice," said police spokesman Mattias Schuster on Thursday.
The pistol and ammunition were found in the apartment and seized. Both the 55-year-old woman and her son were reported to the police.
