Inclusion
Small and large gestures for better togetherness
The state of Vorarlberg is launching a new initiative and is looking for "inclusion heroes" who break down (social) barriers for others.
The term inclusion has become a buzzword in recent years. However, there is a valuable cause behind it: Everyone should be able to participate in social life. This is not a matter of course, especially for people with mental or physical disabilities, the chronically ill or other people who are subject to stigmatization.
The state of Vorarlberg is now launching a new initiative to raise awareness of the issue: it is looking for so-called "inclusion heroes" and "inclusion heroines", i.e. people who work to break down barriers and remove obstacles. "We are looking for the silent heroes and heroines of everyday life who contribute to making our world more inclusive with small gestures and big deeds," explained Provincial Councillor Martina Rüscher.

Anyone who knows someone who is committed to inclusion can write a short text (no more than 100 words) describing this person's commitment. The country will then organize a big party for all participants - more information at: www.vorarlberg.at/inklusionsheldInnen
