Car collides with police car: four injured
A nasty accident involving three vehicles occurred on Innsbrucker Straße in Hall in Tirol on Friday afternoon. After a head-on crash, a police car involved was thrown into the oncoming lane and crashed into a third car. Four people were injured.
The accident occurred shortly after 3 pm. A police car collided with a car driven by a 21-year-old man at a junction on Innsbrucker Straße. The two vehicles crashed head-on into each other when the 21-year-old local man tried to turn left into Innsbrucker Straße.
The collision caused the patrol car to be thrown into the adjacent lane, where it collided with the car of a 48-year-old local woman. The woman wanted to turn right at the same junction.
Four people injured
The police officer (31) who was driving and his passenger suffered minor injuries, as did the two other occupants of the vehicles involved. They were taken to Hall Regional Hospital by ambulance. The vehicles were towed away. The road was closed in both directions for the duration of the accident investigation. The Hall fire department was also deployed.
