Woman slapped in the face, then husband pulls out knife

A married couple allegedly got into an argument in Vienna-Brigittenau on Friday night after a bar. In the apartment, the wife is said to have slapped her husband in the face, who then pulled out a kitchen knife. The police were alerted. 

The 44-year-old is said to have pulled out the knife and threatened to kill his wife. After the emergency services arrived, the suspect was provisionally arrested. "In the course of the official action, it was established that the suspect was over one per mille drunk", police spokesman Philipp Haßlinger announced on Saturday.

The husband was banned from entering and approaching the house and a temporary weapons ban was issued. He was reported at large.
