Night-time operation on Friday for the Imst fire department in Tyrol! There was a loud bang on a balcony in an apartment building. A short time later there was a fire. The fire department was able to prevent the fire from spreading. Fortunately, no one was injured. The fire investigators took up the investigation.

The residents of an apartment building in Imst were woken from their sleep by a deafening bang shortly before midnight on Friday. A gas cartridge on the balcony of one of the apartments probably blew up and caused a fire. This threatened to spread to the roof truss above.

The Imst town fire department was alerted and was able to evacuate the building in time and prevent the fire from spreading. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Initial investigations have not yet been able to determine the cause of the fire.

Enormous material damage was caused to the façade and window of the affected apartment as well as the roof truss. "In the course of initial investigations, the cause of the fire has not yet been clearly established," said the police. However, further investigations are underway.
