Customers beware: Spar recalls veggie pasta
The Spar supermarket chain has recalled a vegetarian pasta because it could mistakenly contain peanuts. This could be problematic for allergy sufferers.
During a routine quality control, "Spar Veggie Girasoli Spinach-Cashew 250g" with a best-before date of June 3, 2024 was found to be contaminated with the allergen peanut, Spar Austria said in a press release on Wednesday.
As a precautionary measure, all "Spar Veggie Girasoli Spinach-Cashew 250g" with a best-before date of April 28, 2024 up to and including June 10, 2024 are being recalled.
Return possible withoutcash register receipt
Customers should not consume the products and return them to their nearest Spar, Eurospar, Interspar or Maximarkt store. The purchase price will be refunded even without a till receipt. All other Spar Veggie Girasoli products or pasta from other brands are not affected.
