Olivia Colman:
“Would make a lot more money as Oliver”
How unfair is pay still in Hollywood today? According to Oscar winner Olivia Colman (50, "The Favourite", "The Crown"), there are still huge pay gaps between men and women in the film industry. She is convinced that she would earn significantly more in her career as Oliver.
British Oscar winner Olivia Colman ("The Favourite") has criticized the unequal pay of actresses and actors in Hollywood in an interview on US broadcaster "CNN".
"Don't even get me started on the pay gap, but male actors are paid more because it's always been said that they would attract the audience," said Coleman in an interview with "CNN".
"Would earn more as Oliver"
"Actually, that hasn't been true for decades, but they still like to use that as a justification for not paying women as much as their male colleagues," the 50-year-old explained. "I'm very aware that if I were Oliver Colman, I would earn a hell of a lot more than I do," the 50-year-old said on "The Amanpour Hour".
The actress won an Oscar in 2019 for her role as the bad-tempered Queen Anne in the shrill comedy of manners "The Favourite" by Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos (50).
