Viennese (29) attacks mother with bread knife

On Tuesday evening, the Vienna police were called to an apartment in the Ottakring district. A 29-year-old man had attacked his own mother with a knife.

The alerted officers found the 29-year-old sitting on the couch in the living room. The murder weapon, a bread knife, was lying on the table in front of him. He was arrested without resistance. The suspect's mother was slightly injured in the attack. According to the police, he had also threatened to kill her.

Not an isolated incident
The family is said to have had several similar arguments in the past. A ban on entering and approaching the house as well as a temporary ban on weapons was issued.

Suspect arrested
After his arrest, the 29-year-old was taken to a prison. The mother was slightly injured in the knife attack.
