Pregnant woman kicked in the stomach: 18 years in prison

A 28-year-old woman experienced unbelievable acts of violence at the hands of her boyfriend. The climax: when she was 38 weeks pregnant with their child, he kicked her in the stomach. Alongside the 30-year-old, his mother is also in the dock. She is also alleged to have bullied the young woman. A long prison sentence for her son!

"I believe in Jesus. And in the Bible," says the 50-year-old confidently when asked about her religion. She even goes on shopping streets in Vienna, spreading the word about the arrival of Jesus with signs. And she also lives according to the principles of the Bible, including the Ten Commandments - the woman proudly states during a break in the negotiations.

All the more shocking what her son - who lives in the same household - is accused of in the Vienna provincial court: The 30-year-old is said to have slapped, kicked and punched his ex-girlfriend almost daily, kept her prisoner in the apartment and constantly controlled her.

Pregnant girlfriend kicked in the stomach
The violence did not stop when the young couple were expecting a child. On the contrary: in July 2023, he kicked the heavily pregnant 28-year-old in the stomach with his knee. In addition to continued violence, the young man, who has a serious criminal record, has also been charged with attempted abortion without the pregnant woman's consent. 

You are no ordinary perpetrator of violence. If we call a spade a spade: You are a psychopath. You are a dangerous psychopath who should be locked up in a closed institution so that the public is safe from you.

"She was 38 weeks pregnant at the time," the prosecutor informed the jury at the start of the trial. She also spoke about a relationship marked by violence: the victim was not allowed to leave the house alone, nor was she allowed to have her own cell phone. Contact with her own family was almost completely severed. And as if that wasn't enough, he forced her to have sex not just once when she didn't feel like it. 

18 years in prison for violent offender with a criminal record
Alongside the 30-year-old, his mother is also in the dock. She also contributed to the young woman's ordeal, locking her up and pulling her hair when she tried to escape. Like her son, the devout 50-year-old pleaded not guilty. 

However, the jury's verdict is clear: 18 years in prison for the son, which he only accepts with indignation. Eight months suspended for the mother. Not legally binding.
