Escape ends in a field
Man (26) attacks internet acquaintance with a knife
Because she kept rejecting him, an Israeli living in Munich got into his car in October last year to meet his internet acquaintance. He intercepted the woman in Regau (Upper Austria), stabbed her with a knife and fled. The man is now on trial.
The 26-year-old, who seriously injured his internet acquaintance in a knife attack in Regau in October, must now stand trial before a jury in Wels on April 17 and 19. The charge is two counts of deprivation of liberty, aggravated coercion and attempted murder with a knife, as the Wels Regional Court announced.
Man is sane
According to a court spokesperson, one of the expert reports attests to his sanity. However, the man denied intent and the intention to kill and injure. According to the indictment, the Israeli-born man from Munich visited his internet acquaintance unexpectedly on October 16 and held her in his apartment for three hours. According to the indictment, he had already inflicted the first injuries on the woman with the knife.
Victim managed to escape
He then forced her to the car and into a wooded area. When the 34-year-old tried to escape, he seriously injured her neck with the knife.
The alleged perpetrator fled in the car. The man was only arrested the next day after an accident during a large-scale manhunt. The seriously injured woman had to undergo surgery.
