Whether it was the anticipation of the vacation or frustration at the lack of snow can only be guessed at. The fact is that a German holidaymaker had had plenty of gas when he was stopped in Sandl. Fatal: he was not alone in the car, but was traveling with his daughter and her friend.

Another driver had noticed the unsafe driving style of the 45-year-old German, so he called the police. When the officers stopped the holidaymaker in Sandl at around 7.20 p.m. on Friday and asked him to take a breathalyzer test, they were quite astonished.

Not alone in the car
The drunk had 2.36 per mille, and he had to hand in his driver's license and car keys on the spot. What was particularly bad was that his 11-year-old daughter and her 12-year-old friend were also in the car. The 45-year-old was also charged with endangering physical safety.
