Shot from stepdad’s gun hits 25-year-old woman
A terrible accident in Pasching when a 62-year-old man rushed over with his gun because of an alleged burglar. A shot may have been fired from his gun and hit his stepdaughter in the stomach and arm.
This shot backfired in the truest sense of the word and hit a 25-year-old woman in the area of her left arm and stomach. The bullet was fired from the small-caliber rifle of her stepfather (62). The 62-year-old only wanted to help, everything points to a tragic accident.
Alleged burglar
And this is what happened, according to the police: The 25-year-old from Thalgau in Salzburg - she had just been visiting her stepfather in Pasching - believed on Monday afternoon that a burglar had broken into the house and informed the 62-year-old by telephone. He then took one of his four firearms, a small-caliber rifle, from the garage and entered the house. As his stepdaughter walked past him, a shot went off - and hit the 25-year-old.
After the incident, the man immediately called the emergency services and began first aid.

Stepfather called for help
The unfortunate "shooter" immediately put down the gun, called the emergency services and began first aid measures. His injured stepdaughter was flown to the Kepler University Hospital in Linz by rescue helicopter with the emergency doctor. The 62-year-old is now being investigated for negligent bodily harm.
