Foreman (32) stole from his own construction sites

Foreman and thief - this "job description" applies to a man from Wels. The 32-year-old is said to have stolen materials such as iron pillars, building fences, iron bars, tiles and the like from his own building sites and then sold them on. Now he has been caught.

As has now become known, the State Office of Criminal Investigation arrested the man from Wels (32) at the end of February 2024 - albeit for offenses under the Narcotics Act. It was only in the course of the subsequent investigations that the suspicion of several thefts on construction sites emerged.

Stolen goods sold on
The investigation finally brought to light that the 32-year-old had allegedly stolen from nine construction sites between June 2022 and January 2024, where he himself worked as a foreman. According to the police, the foreman is said to have stolen materials such as iron posts, construction fencing, plug irons, rubble chutes and tiles.

The man from Wels then allegedly sold the stolen goods on to various customers. The 32-year-old will be reported to the public prosecutor's office in Wels.
