Because an Irish national suddenly slowed down in the middle of the Freilandstraße and even stopped, there was an accident involving three cars - two of which even ended up in the ditch.

Just a few hours after a car full of pensioners crashed into a house wall on Tuesday, there was another traffic accident on the B100 Drautal road. In the open countryside of Rasdorf (municipality of Greifenburg), a 23-year-old man from the district of Spittal rear-ended a 72-year-old Irish woman - who had come to a standstill in her car on the main road for unknown reasons.

The impact caused the young Carinthian to drive into the ditch. "The woman's car was thrown into the oncoming lane and thus head-on into the vehicle of a 59-year-old man," as the police explain. His car also ended up in the ditch. While the Irish national had to be taken to hospital with indeterminate injuries, both men were unharmed. The emergency services had to close the road for almost two hours in the evening.
