Summer Games 2024
Felix Neureuther flies to Paris for the Olympics
A former ski racer at the Summer Olympics? The German TV channel ARD is making it possible and sending Felix Neureuther to Paris as an expert.
The Bavarian, who has already had the opportunity to share his expertise on television in the Ski World Cup, will share his impressions in the "Felix Neureuther - Slalom through Paris" section on TV, the media library and on the broadcaster's social media channels, as ARD explained.
"I'm looking forward to the new task because I believe that the Games in Paris will be something very special and because, as a winter sportsman, I can experience the Summer Olympics from a different perspective," said Neureuther, looking forward to the job.
"Critical spirit"
Program director Mirjam Bach explained the decision to book a ticket for the 40-year-old with the former technology specialist's environmentally conscious viewpoint: "Felix is a big fan of the Olympic idea, he loves to get people moving. At the same time, however, he is also a critical thinker when it comes to topics such as sustainability or the role of the IOC. We are therefore looking forward to his view of the Olympic Games."
