A 55-year-old homeowner from Upper Austria was astonished on Saturday night when a strange and badly damaged car suddenly appeared in her garden. Initially, there was no driver on site, but he returned to the scene of the accident a little later, drunk.
A 55-year-old woman from Hörsching informed the police at around 3.20 am on Saturday that there was a badly damaged car in her garden. However, there was no driver on site. When the police arrived at the scene of the accident, the driver, a 43-year-old Hungarian citizen from Marchtrenk, had already returned and immediately admitted that he had been driving the car.
Driving license confiscated
A breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol level of 0.96 per mille and his driver's license was confiscated. The damaged vehicle was towed away.
